“In a country where sharing with children the gospel of Jesus and praying is prohibited, Unity gives me a sense of pride in knowing that I can share God’s word with my students on a day-to-day basis. I strive to be a great teacher and woman of God, and I am happy to be both to my students.”

Mrs. Alice (Spencer) Gully
Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Alice Gully (formerly Spencer), originally from East St. Louis, relocated to Chicago. She moved back here a few years ago and has been in office positions for over twelve years. Unity Lutheran Elementary is a refreshing change from her last position at a Level One Trauma Hospital on the West Side of Chicago.
Her greatest prides are her children, Lamont and Lesley-Anne, and her grandson, Kingston. They can always make her smile.
Mrs. Gully also enjoys reading and writing as pastime activities. Mostly, she enjoys the Christian aspect of Unity. She grew up attending Unity Lutheran Church. What she loves is the teacher's staff, and that the parents are willing to go the extra mile to provide the children with a quality education; it is very hands-on. She is extremely happy to be a part of that.
